2 - Schafer Challenges CFJ and Doesn't Show Up
Schafer challenges the CFJ to a debate and leaves when they show up. The CFJ proceeds to speak to the students of the inequality and injustice and asks them to record and report acts of racism. -
3 - Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales Meets with the Principal of the School
Corky requests a meeting with the principal where people demand to have Schafer fired. These demands are ignored. -
4 - Continuation of the Movement
Violence and riots continue for years after the police became violent with the students. -
5 - West High School Walkout
A total of 300 students, families, and CFJ members stage a spontaneous walkout that was previously proposed by West High School students. -
6 - Colorado High School Walkout
1,500 students around Colorado walkout and meet at Lincoln Park. -
7 - Progress Began
After riots ended, Schafer was fired, the school hired Mexican teachers and changed the curriculum to teach more accurate and diverse subjects and history
