Demi Lovato was born
In Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dianna Lovato, was a former country music recording artist and Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader.
Her parents divorced in 1994 when she was 2 years old. Her father, Patrick Lovato, moved to Mexico so Demi and her father never really had a relationship. -
She got a big role in her first tv show
In 2002, at the age of 10, Demi Lovato got her first taste of fame when she played "Angela" in her first tv show called "Barney and Friends" -

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez were best friends forever.
Demi met Selena who was one of her cast mates on the set of her first TV show "Barney and Friends." They became best friends immediately. They hit a few bumps in the road over the years but to this day they are still joined at the hip. -
She released her debut album "Don't Forget"
Demi Lovato's debut album was released in 2008 featuring songs do-written by the Jonas Brothers Band. Followed by "Here We Go Again" in 2009 as one of her biggest hit songs. -
Demi Lovato got a lead role in a show called "So R@ndom".
It was a show-within-a-show. Each episode typically consists of five or six sketches. So Random! is a spin off of Sonny with a Chance - the main cast played the characters they originated as while also playing the different characters from each of the skits. -
She started an environmental group called "Friends For Change."
"Make a Wave" is a song written by Scott Krippayne and Jeff Peabody, and sung by Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas for Disney's Friends for Change, a charity group formed by Disney for their environmental campaign. "Friends For Change was a 30 second to 2 minute segment or commercial between shows on disney channel. it was meant to educate the children watching, about how to take care of their environment, conserve energy and make a difference in their communities one step at a time. -

She won the 2009 Teen choice award for Sonny With a Chance (TV) which happened to be shared with David Archuletta -

Demi went to rehab
"In November 2010, she attened a "treatment facility" for "physical and emotional issues," and in April 2011, she confirmed that she would not be returning to Sonny with a Chance for its third season. She stated that returning to acting immediately wouldn't be healthy for her recovery."
Ever since she was 8, demi has been teased for her weight. ahe also suffered from depression, bipolar disorder, bulemia and self-harm before she decided she wasnt going to be a victim anymore. -
Demi's Father died.

"But when somebody lets you down after you've been the only one there for them, and so many times, you don't know what to do."

Demi continued to write and perform her music after rehabilitation.
After coming back from rehab Demi released her new album "UNBROKEN" with a song named "Skyscraper." In the song Lovato said, "Go on and try to tear me down, I will be rising from the ground like a skyscraper." Which just goes to show how stong she really is. -
She was drowning in depression.
Demi suffered from bipolar disorder, bulemia (an eating disorder), drugs and alcohol abuse and self harm.
She explains, “Just because you’re cutting, [it] doesn’t mean you’re suicidal. "She admists that she started at 11- 12 years old hoping, "Maybe this will fix the pain?" While it began as a cry for help, Lovato started to cut in places where “no one would see.”

Demi was "Confident" that her past is in the past.
Despite everything that she's been through with the eating and bipolar disorders, self harm, alcohol and drug addiction, Demi decided to leave the past in the past. She came back a better person, now shes stronger than shes ever been. In her new hit song "Confident" says "I used to hold my freak back, now im letting go. i make my own choice. girl, i run this show. so leave the lights on. No, you cant make me behave"
She came so far and her fans couldnt possibly be happier for her.
