Demi was born as Demetria Lovato on August 20, 1992. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but she was raised in Dallas, Texas. She has an older sister and a younger half sister. -

When Demi was 7 years old , she started her acting career on Barney & Friends as Angela. She played on the show for seasons 7 and 8. While working, she met herf long time friend Selena Gomez. -
Personal Life
When Demi was in seventh grade, she started etting bullied and shesoon developed depression. When she was 8 years old, she started having an "unhealthy relationshipo with food". When she was a 11, she self-mutilated her wrists to help her with dealing with her emotions. She always thought she was too fat to have friends because of what people would tell her. -

Demi stopped self-harming after she went into rehab for her depression. She had also injured someone very important to her. She punched one of her back up dancers in the face.
