David Crosthwait was born on May 27th, 1898. He was born in Nashvile Tennessee and grew up in Kansas City Missouri. -
High School
He graduted high school in 1908 in Kansas City Misssouri adn got a full academic scholarship to Purdue University. -
His Adult Life
He earned a BS from Purude University and took a job in C.A. Dunham now known as Dunham Bush Inc. -
Air Conditioning
David Crothwait invented Air Conditioning around 1925. -
Dunham Bush Inc.
David began working as a technical advisor at Dunham Bush inc. in the 1930's. -
Awards
He won a medal from the National Technical Association in the 1930's. -
Other Inventions
Around 1939 David invented lots of other things and one of them is thermostat control. -
Retiring
David remained at Dunham Bush until 1971. -
Death
David was a very successful man, sadly passed away on Feb. 25, 1976. -
Always Remebered
The house of representatives issued an award in his honor on Feb. 2, 2008.
