    Thomas Samuel Kuhn was born to a wealthy family in Cincinnati, Ohio. Kuhn's contribution to the philosophy of science is that he discovered that science does not evolve slowly towards a truth over time but rather enters different paradigms until the current theories can't explain phenomena or someone proposes a new theory.
