    Charles Darwin joined the HMS Beagle for an expedition around the world. Here he studied Natural Selection and began his journey for his knowledge of evolution.

    This was the first day Charles Darwin embarked on the Beagle voyage.

    This was the beginning of his adventure. He was thinking of writing a book on his findings.

    Here he takes his first look at the tropical forest of Brazil. He explores the beautiful plants and animals there.

    Here he finds amazingly large fossils of some that seem rather new.

    `The captain Robert FitzRoy meets up with three people he had brought to England once. He tried bringing Christianity to them, but this mission failed.
  • Falkland Island

    In the Falkland Islands, Darwin opened a rock and found the fossil of the once most abundant organisms on earth.

    He explores the lands of Pampas
  • Chiloe Island, Chile

    He witnessed Mount Osorno erupt on the island of Chiloe. There were earthquakes and volcanic eruption aftermaths that he never seen before.
  • Galapagos Islands

    Here, Darwin spent a lot of time in the Galapagos islands. He studied life and animals there. He noticed how some had resemblance to us as humans. He studied the tortoises and how their shells were like seats suited for riding. He found interesting findings in iguanas such as seaweed. Here he found many things on evolution.

    Here he find the amazing marsupials and thinks about how there are completely different animals in Australia.

    The amazing sandstone height and the bullock wagons is what caught Darwins attention here.
  • Cocos islands

    Here he studies the coral reef to test his theory of atoll formation.
  • Mauritius

    Darwin was observing here the beauty of nature and the looks of black lava on the grass.
  • Bahia and Pernambuco, South America

    Darwin was tired of the sea and wanted to go home, but the ship had decided to make a detour and extend the trip. In south america he discover several other amazing creatures.
  • The end of the voyage

    Darwin finally went home and was amazed by all his findings. This trip was an amazing eye opener for him.
