Daniel Clement Dennett III was in born March 28, 1942 and is still alive. He is an philosopher and scientist whose research centers on the philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, and philosophy of biology, particularly as those fields relate to evolutionary biology and cognitive science. Dennett is primarily concerned with providing a philosophy of mind that is grounded in empirical research. Which is what I would say be his contribution to the philology of science. -
