In 1965 Mr. Dennett received his Doctorate of Philosophy at Oxford University writing his dissertation titled "The Mind and the Brain: Introspective Description in the Light of Neurological Findings; Intentionality". Intentional Stance
Daniel Dennett would publish a book delving into the differences between mental and physical phenomena in regards to human behavior. Humanist of the Year
The "Humanist of the Year Award" was created to recognize those nationally or internationally whose work has improved or benefitted the Human Condition. They work for the equal rights for Humanists, Atheists, Agnostics and Freethinkers in the right that people can have the ability to lead responsible and ethical lives without Theism. In 2004 Daniel Dennett received the award by the American Humanist Association for his works in Philosophy of Science, Cognitive Science, and Philosophy of Biology. -
Erasmus Prize
In 2012 Daniel Dennett receives the Erasmus Prize for contributions to culture, society and social sciences.
