    Birth of Daniel Dennett
    Daniel C. Dennett was born in Boston, MA on March 28th, 1942. His father was a diplomat and scholar for Islamic history and his mother was an editor and a teacher. In 1963 Dennett had received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Harvard University. And in 1965 he received his PhD in Philosophy and began teaching at the University of California, Irvine. Daniel Dennett is an American naturalist philosopher who specializes in the philosophy of mind.

    In 1963 Daniel Dennett pursued graduate study at the University of Oxford. While there he studied under Gilbert Ryle which encouraged Daniel's interest in nature of consciousness. In 1969 Daniel turned his doctoral thesis on nature of consciousness into his first book "Content and Consciousness". Within Daniel's book he begins to introduce the relation between the mind and brain. He continues to work on this today. His solutions and answers within this book are both ingenious and controversial.

    In 1993 Daniel was part of a team at Massachusetts Institute of Technology that attempted to create a conscious robot named Cog. In 1994 Daniel presented a paper named "Consciousness in Human and Robot Minds". Within this he argues that a robot has the capability to have a conscious. He argues that "a protein-free conscious robot can be made". Daniel also fights the ignorance of something "manufactured" and not "naturally" born can not exhibit genuine consciousness.

Daniel became a prominent figure in the atheist movement in the beginning of the 21st century. Daniel had a strong interest in Darwin's theories. Daniel saw Darwin's theory of evolution as a detailed process and explanation of life that eliminates the need of a God as the source of life and design.
