Daniel Sordo Castillo, known as Dani Sordo, is a rally of rallying Cantabrian participating in the World Rally Championship. Winner of the Junior World Rally Championship 2005 and the 2005 Rally Championship of Spain of Asphalt. -
Beginning
He began his sports career with twelve years in the discipline of motocross, later he went to karting and in 1999 to motorsport where he has competed both in rally and in mountain races. -
BMW 1999
In 1999 it competed for the first time with a tourism and it did it in the Championship of Mountain Cantabria where the following year, in 2000, it obtained his first victories. He won the Rise to Peña Cabarga, Rise to Bien Aparecida, Rise to Collado de Cieza and Rise to La Montaña and was proclaimed champion of Cantabria mountain. -

First successes.
The successes of 2005 led him to obtain a position in the WRC in 2006 with Citroën Racing, which witnessed his best result in second place and a final classification in fifth place in the Drivers' Championship. Citroën 2006
For the 2006 season Citroën signed him to compete in the world championship, so he did not run any national or regional championship, and formed a team with the French Sébastien Loeb and also Spanish, Xavi Pons. Mini 2010

Return to Citroën 2012
At the end of 2012, Sébastien Loeb confirmed that in 2013 he would only play four races, so Citroën chose Dani Sordo to take his place.
