The 1998 Papua New Guinea tsunami was triggered by a quake with a magnitude of 7.0 and killed 2,183-2,700 people.The tsunami had a 30km-long impact strip and Arop village was completely destroyed. -

The 2004 Sumatra tsunami was triggered by a quake with a magnitude of 9.1-9.3 and killed 227,898 people. Over 5 megatons worth of TNT was released in the disaster and it took up to 7 hours to make landfall. -
Samoa Tsunami - Samoa
The 2009 Samoa tsunami was triggered by a quake with a magnitude of 8.1 and killed over 189 people. Many of the victims were children and the tsunami was localized to the Samoan and Tongan islands. -

The 2010 Chile tsunami was triggered by a quake with a magnitude of 8.8 and killed 525 people. Warnings were issued in 53 countries and the tsunami helped in testing deep ocean wave movements. -
