    d day was when thousands of allied troops landed in Normandy beaches, and a battle began.
    V-E day stands for victory in Europe, it marks a very important day, when the battle in Germany ended.
    V-J day stands for victory in Japan, it also marks a very important day, when Japan surrendered and the battle ended.
