When a young planet collided with earth a lot of small debris shot out of earth to create a ring of molten rocks (similar to saturn). out of this ring the moon was formed. -

at this stage earth's crust began cooling until solidification -

At this point in time is also when the earliest fossil could be found, because this is the time where earth cooled down and was able to contain water. After this stage a new eon of time begins, The Archean Eon. -

Earths inner core solidified
At this stage earths inner core transitioned from being a molten liquid metal to a solid ball. -

First Snowball earth
This is when almost all of earth froze. and shows the contrast of how earth started off as molten metal to this point where earth totally froze
