One night, just before final exams, 18-year-old Franklin Crabbe - smart, rich yet unhappy and a semi-alcoholic - packs his gear and drives away into the woods to disapper completely. Totally unprepared for bush life, Crabbe nearly perishes until he meets someone else who has her reasons to hide. -
Crabbe gets busted
Crabbe gets caught having silent sam vodka in his water bottle that was on the top shelf of his gym locker and his gym teacher fat-ass grant decided to search his locker and find it. -
Crabbe Planing on running away
Crabbe is explaining his plan from beginning to end. He explains where hes going to run off to start off his journey over at camp Ithaca. -
Crabbe running away
Crabbe is putting his last few pieces of his plan to fall into place then hes running away. He trys to get the canoe from his shed and getting it into the garage before anyone notices what hes doing. And unexpectedly his parents get home early so he hids in the car thats hes running away with. When his parents went to sleep he pack the final few things he needed then headed out. -
Crabbe arriving at Ithaca Camp
Crabbe is arriving at camp Ithaca to start his journey om his own. When he gets to the camp he finds an area where he can stash the station wagen and sleeps. -
Crabbe starts his journey down the river
Crabbe goes down the river in the canor with his supplies and he ditches the stationwagen in between the trees and coverd with branches. -
Crabbe getting attacted by a bear
Crabbe was just waking up from a slumber and he wakesw up to the smeel of wet nylon from the fly from the tent. Crabbe opens the flap of the tent to see its a damp rainy morning while the river has a tea coloured but calm look then he starts to hear the snarels and the growling. It sounded like a bear Crabbe thinks. -
Crabbe goes over a waterfall
While Crabbe was trying the make his way back to his campsite he gets chaught in a fast moving tide that throwa him over a waterfall and he meets a very strange girl. -
Crabbe meeting the women who saved his life
Crabbe was waking up to the women who saved his life when he had went over the waterfall. When Crabbe went over the waterfall he had a couple of cracked ribs and his arm was cut pretty badly and it could be broken but she isint sure. -
Crabbe telling Mary everything about him
When Crabbe and Mary got back to Mary's Campsite, Mary was showing Crabbe how to gut and clean a fish, how to make bread and tea, and also make a smokeless fire. After they were done eating Crabbe was telling Mary all about his life (where he came from, why he ran away everything) -
Crabbe's shrink meeting
During Crabbe's shrink meeting Crabbe is trying not to give out to much information about what he did out in the woods but he gives him enough information that the shrink leaves Crabbe alone. -
Crabbe's thinking alot about why he ran away
Crabbe is picturing his life as ab story called "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner", and how his life is like one of the characters in it and how most of his choices reflected in the book.
