Benito Mussolini Can't take power
Since the economy was in good shape after the war, Italy had no need to let a dictator rise to power. The large land owners and business men didn't have strikes on their businesses, along with the lack of fear of Communism within the country, so Mussolini had no one to support him. He didn't gain his power preventing Italy from getting involved with Germany. -
Economy goes back to normal
Italy after World War I was able to produce enough supplies to create a strong economy. They did this by increasing agriculture and increasing trade with countries where the people were starving. The strong money system kept their money from losing its value. Now that Italy had enough money to finance the country it began to build more weapons secretly in case of another war. -
Less fear of Socialism and Communism
The economy was strong and stable making there to be no need for fear of socialism and communism. With no fear of these two things Italy was able to become more and more capitalist in their ways creating more money, more competition and more jobs for the people of Italy. With more jobs the people started to want a say in what was happening in their country, leading to a democracy. -
Strikes don't happen making econmy gain even more
The job market in Italy had began to run smoothly creating jobs with higher pay for the people of Italy. With the increase of jobs the taxes paid by the people are better funded making the state of Italy wealthier. Since everyone is content with their money base and they aren't poor because the money had lost its value and they begin to become more successful as a country. -
Italy becomes Democratic
Seeing the Fascist rule in Germany the Italian government decided that it would be best to elect a leader by voting. The country spent sometime creating branches in their government, (much like the U.S.'s) this process took sometime but they eventually got a system set up that worked. With the new democracy set in place the people really got a voice in the way that the country was to be run, the way they wished they had when the country was a dictatorship. -

Italy Joins Allies
After seeing that Hitler plans to take over the Western World, Italy quickly joins forces with the Allies. Italy had created some new weapons in the post-World War I time strengthening the Allied movement through the country and making Germany an easy target for the Allied forces to attack. Eventually leading to an attack on two fronts of France. -
Axis Weakened
Without Italy, Germany did not have its control in the Mediterranean like it would've had with it on its side. The Germans now having already attacking the USSR had only one ally, Japan. Japan was also on the other side of the world making it hard for Japan to transport men and supplies to Germany, because the Allies had set up blockades around Germany off the area around Great Britain and Italy. -
Battle of Normandy and Marsellie
The Battle of Normandy and Marseille was a day were Allied troops attacked German forces in Normandy France and Marseille France. With both attacking zones being next to water the attack was from two areas with battle ships attacking from sea and airplanes dropping troops into France to attack the Germans there. After planes and the ships did their job the land troops would come in and storm both beaches on the same day. -
Allies go straight through Italy
With Italy on the side of the Allied Forces they didn't have to attack through it like it would have normally had done. The Allies could move troops right through Italy and its surrounding water areas giving them a tactical advantage. With an attack from two places the Germans were brutality defeated. Now all that they had to do was attack Germany at its heart of Berlin and destroy to Nazi party. This was able to be done because of the haste the Allies used. -
Pacific conqured quickly
With the increase of men and moral the Allies got from capturing Europe so quickly the U.S. and Great Britain made their attacks on Japan go much faster. With the speed that they took Germany in, they also had that in attacking Japan. With that speed the United States did not need to use the Atomic bomb they had created. -
No Cold War
Without the use of our atomic bomb the USSR does not have an arms race with the United States in creating Nuclear weapons. This also means that since there's no arms race there's no Korean War or Vitamin war. But on the other side our technology isn't as far advanced without our race with the USSR preventing us from using satellites.
