The stamp act was an asymmetrical act. Its asymmetrical because the British but a tax on all paper documents, and the colonist did fight back in a similar response. Lexington Concord
British troops marched into to the towns after the minute men were warned the the red coats were coming. The two sides marched up to eachother and both walked away after seeing the very small patriot side. As they walked away a farmer tripped and his gun set off the shot heard round the world making the battle asymettrical.

Battle at Breed's/Bunker Hill
At the battle at bunker hill was a symmetrical event both sides were fighting with the same responses. The British won the battle and gained the hill.
