    Suggested by Asa Whitney in 1845, a large connected railway system, usually miles upon miles long. The first one was built in 1863 and finished in 1869 conecting the east and west halves of the United States. The first offical railroad was callled the "Pacific Railroad."

    Invented around 1868, barbed wire was used to farm or hold animals in there pens. It also helped with land division and providing a theme of safety. Problems with this is that it kept the cows stuck in the area when winter happepend killing the cows.

    In 1886, this act allowed the president to survay and divide the American Indian lands. Used to push the American Indians into American society, reduced American Indian land to a certain degree. The American Indian's were off course not that happy.

    Between 1866 and 1886 the cattle was hearded on long journeys to the meat processing plants, but after 1886 most cattle farms were built close to these processing plants, therefor cattle ranching took over.
