  • Six-Day War

    Six-Day War
    Six day war started by Israel to Egyptian troops and civilians. As result of this short war, Israel took control over Golan Heights, Sinai Peninsula, Gaza Strip, West Bank, and East Jerusalem.
  • Yom Kipper War

    Yom Kipper War
    Surprise attack by Egypt on Israel in efforts to take back their land. During this war, the OPEC, in its anger towards Israel, refused to sell oil to any country that supported Israel. The war ended with a peace agreement od sorts.
  • Camp David Accords

    Camp David Accords
    This was a meeting between U.S. president Jimmy Carter, Israel Prime Minister Menachen Begin, and Egyptian president Anwar Sadat in Carter's presidential retreat out in Maryland, U.S., the name of this retreat; Camp David. This was a sort od peace making meeting. Anwar Sadat, in representation of Arabs, recognized Israel and Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt. This would end all hostility between Israel and Egypt for the next thirty years.

    The Rise of Intifada
    Intifada is a rebellion lead by Israeli resenting Palestinians. Palestinians were angered and more than done with how Israel was establishing its settlements in their land. These rebels restlessly fought against Israeli troops and took the battle to the streets, causing major and continuous street violence.

    A second Intifada came to be in the 2000. This time there was more damage to Israel though. Palestinians would strap themselves with bombs and have them detonate in the middle of Israeli cities or towns.
