    With a victory here at Antietam the south will now have the support of Britain for the rest of the war. This will turn the the tide of the war giving the south a huge advantage. Now that the South had Britain on its side the union have little chance of winning this war. Now Lincoln is thinking of what to do next, and now the moral of his troops is down in the dumps. What will be next for the Union army?

    Battle of Gettysburg
    Now with the backing of the British army the Confederacy quickly beat the Union at the Battle of Gettysburg. The Union is now at it's lowest point and it won't be long before the war is over. With this victory the Confederacy have taken over in the war. It would be wise for the union to surrender to stop any further bloodshed. Things are looking bright for the Confederacy and bleak for the Union.

    After the Battle of Gettysburg Lincoln had been left with a tough decision. He made the choice to surrender seeing that his army was outmatched and that no more of his men must die.Many of the of the soldiers were outraged and refused to surrender. With the surrender of Lincoln the Confederacy has nearly won the battle. Once the Northerners who refuse to surrender are taken care of then the battle will truly be over.

    One last stand for the Union
    Although Lincoln has surrendered many of his generals aren't yet ready ti give up on the war. With what was left of the Union army general Ulysses S. Grant was going for one final assault one the Confederate capital of Richmond. They will attack at night to try and catch the enemy by surprise. They attack but somehow the Confederate knew of the Unions plan and it was a complete slaughter of the Union army. Thousands died included general Grant and this marked the end of the Union.

    After the defeat of General Grant at the Confederate capital of Richmond, it was clear that the war was over. On April 9, 1865 President Lincoln called a truce between the union and the Confederacy after he knew they had lost. With the Confederate victory this scared many of the free African Americans. They didn't know if they would be forced back into slavery. With the loss of the war many of the slaves were now in danger.

    After the loss in the civil war the Lincoln decided he could not command a country after this terrible loss. Lincoln decided it would be best if he were not President. On January 2 1866 Lincoln announced his resignation to the world. He will be in office for only a short time now. Now the White house it open for anyone to take control.

    Now without a President the Union is vulnerable to Confederacy control. In the upcoming election to find a new president there is word that the Confederate president Jefferson Davis will run for president. If Jefferson wins the Election he will turn the Union into and even bigger confederacy. He even has the backing of the British Military on his side which could help. With Jefferson at president things won't look good for the Northerners.

    After considering what would be the best for the country congress decided that the best decision for President was Jefferson. He had a strong military now with the backing of the British Army. It was a hard decision but the U.S. needed a leader. Many disagreed with this decision especially all the free African Americans. What will happen to the country now that Jefferson is in power.

    Jefferson has been president for about a year now and his fist official order is to bring back slavery. Since Lincolns Emancipation Proclamation was just an executive order Jefferson is able to override that as the next president. Now many of the once freed Slaves have gone into hiding. Some have even tied sneaking onto ships to flee the country. Many slaves have been caught, and those who are hiding if found will be punished greatly.

    Britain was not for the uses of slavery to make a profit. After seeing what was happening with the slaves in America The British felt they must step in and say something. Officials from Britain to meet with President Davis to discuss the slavery issue. They went with the entente to end slavery in America, but that could be hard with Davis as president. If America does not end slavery they could lose Britain as an ally.

    With slavery being reinstated the plantation owners were more harsh then ever. Once All the slaves were back on their plantations they were all wiped just because their owners were angry about them leaving. With all this punishment many slaves tried to escape and if were about to be caught they would find a way to injure themselves so they couldn't work. Many even tried to kill themselves because they felt it was better than the harsh labor. It had become a dark time in America.

    After President Davis refused to give up slavery the British decided that they could no longer be allies. Without Britain as an ally this severely weakens America's Military. Without Britain at his side many believe it it was the right decision to elect Davis. Many believe that another war will come between the British and themselves. This decision has put America in a very bad position.

    After the loss of Britain as an ally many are turning against President Davis. Even some of his fellow supports feel that he has made some wrong decisions. Davis is worried that with all this happening that he could very soon become impeached. Now even Davis himself is now thinking that maybe he should have ended slavery. Without the people at his side, and some parts of the government, Davis's presidency could be over soon especially with the next election coming up in a few months.

    With the end of Davis's first term coming he has decided that if he were to get reelected he must gain back the support of Britain. Davis has made the tough decision to abolish slavery once more. With his last few days of his term left he made a law to abolish slavery everywhere in America. After hearing this Britain has decided that they will again ally with America. Davis has made a good decision for the betterment of the country.

    After ending slavery in america it gained Davis more popularity in the the nation. Also now again having the support of the British military helped out. Davis won the election in a landslide. Even many in the south began to see that Davis made the right decision. After winning the election Davis went back to his office where he began to plan his speech. After years of trouble Davis finally made the right decision.
