Epson HX-20
The Epson HX-20 is considered the first laptop-sized notebook computer. Patented by Suwa Seikosha's Yukio Yokozawa and introduced by Japanese company Seiko Epson. It was released in 1982, Epson had crammed in a mechanical keyboard, LCD display, tiny printer and microcassette drive. With rechargeable batteries that offered “up to” 50 hours run time. It has since enhanced our lives by opening an endless progression of computers and capabilities. -
