The Wii was unique because instead of using the common controllers that most gaming consoles used, the Wii's primary controller was both wireless and motion sensing. This allowed for games to have partial or entire focus on motion sensing, which in some video games, greatly increased gameplay. -

The iPhone was a unique combination of a cellphone, music player, and web browser, which would define the smartphone industry. Helpful features of the iPhone included it's high-definition camera, weather reporting, and it's impressive touchscreen abilities at the time.
