    Mac OS is released by apple as the standard mac operating system. Steve jobs created the stint of Mac OS X, and it is noteworthy for its UNIX architecture.
  • Mozilla Firefox 1.0 is launched.

    Mozilla Firefox 1.0 is launched.

    The Mozilla Corporation launches Mozilla Firefox 1.0. This is one of the first big competitors of internet explorer. Firefox was created by Dave Hyatt and Blake Ross.
  • Macbook pro is released.

    Macbook pro is released.

    The MacBook pro from apple is released. This was apples first intel-based, dual-core mobile computer. Steve job released this laptop as the start of the mac books and it even had an isight camera that was built in.
  • Windows 7 is launched.

    Windows 7 is launched.

    Microsoft launches windows 7. This operating system allows you to pin applications to the task bar, easy access to jump list, easier previews of tiles, etc. Windows 7 was developed by Microsoft which was all created by Bill Gates.
  • The Chrome book is released

    The Chrome book is released

    Google released the Chromebook which runs on Google Chrome OS. The chrome book has a different operating system then regular laptops, which allows them to be cheaper than the average laptop. The chrome book was manufactured by Acer and Samsung electronics.
