Photoshop is Released
Created by brothers John and Thomas Knoll, Photoshop was an image editing program and the most popular software program published by Adobe Systems. Adobe bought a license for distribution in 1989 and released the product on February 19, 1990. Photoshop changed the way people view reality. Now when we see a phenomenal image or a beautiful person we automatically assume it was photoshopped. Being able to remove all "flaws" in the world, makes it impossible for reality to meet our expectations. -
Terminator 2
Director James Cameron in his 1984 hit The Terminator 2 was the first to features groundbreaking special effects done by Industrial Light & Magic. It was the most expensive movie ever made at the time. Most of this cost went to computer-generated special effects. Director James Cameron and his team winged the whole experiment by just trying what worked. They did not realize that they would change the film industry forever. -
CompactFlash
Introduced by SanDisk a compact memory storage that quickly became the preferred memory storage option. It was a little larger than other memory storage options at the time but the high capacity is what won people over. This CompactFlash is much larger than what now have in our Androids. However, this was the first step in creating the flash memory we have now. -
Sony Vaio Series Begin
The first VAIO was a desktop computer, it featured a 3D interface on top of the Windows 95 operating system which attracted new users. The VAIO line of computers would be best known for laptops. Their laptops were designed with communications and audio-video capabilities which included designs that incorporated TV and radio tuners, web cameras, and handwriting recognition. Now Sony represents a line of unusual PCs that often push the limits of what the market can bear in price and innovation. -
SGI Releases Maya
Silicon Graphics Incorporated (SGI) develops Maya as a next-generation 3D animation tool. Maya was quickly used in video game and graphics industries, especially in film and television.
