Common Core Standards
California adopted the common core standards in 2010, only some schools accepted the common core standards starting from kindergarten all the way to the end of high school for both English and Math. The common core standards are so that students know what they are doing and be able to do what they are supposed to and lastly be able to explain their thinking process and how they got to the answer. The common core standards are a clear set of goals and expectations for the skills and knowledge.
