  • Charter of 1732

    Charter of 1732 was signed.

  • City of Savannah

    The city of Savannah was created.

  • Jewish Arrive

    Jewish people arrive in the colony and are allowed to sty because they have a doctor.

  • Salzburgers Arrive

    Germans sent by the king arrive at the colony.

  • Highland Scots Arrive

    They are good soldiers so they are allowed to stay in the colony.

  • James Oglethorpe goes to England

    Oglethorpe returns in search of help for funding and fighting.

  • War of Jenkins Ear starts

    The war caused by Spanish cutting off a British soldiers ear.

  • Battle of Bloody Marsh

    Marked the end if the War of Jenkins Ear.

  • Slavery is Allowed

    Slavery is allowed in the colony.

  • Georgia becomes a Royal colony

  • John Reynolds comes as the first Governor

  • Henry Ellis becomes Governor

  • James Wright becomes the Governor of the colony.

  • French and Indian War ends

    French and Indian war ends. Britain turns its attention back to regulating the colonies.

  • Stamp Act

    Britain now puts taxes on anything that needs to be legally stamped.

  • Townshend Acts

    This is when Britain started taxing on all imports.

  • Boston Massacre

    British soldiers fired on the colonists and it resulted in five deaths.

  • Boston Tea Party

    Over 500 crates of tea were thrown overboard

  • Intolerable Acts Passed

    The acts that gave more government control over the colonies.

  • Britain repeals Stamp Act

    Britain takes away the Stamp Act, but know it is the Declaratory Act.
