The Marshall Plan was a plan for reconstruction of Europe after World War II. this was a time where the US gave financial aid to countires being effect by communisum. this was usued to remove barriers and tried to remove tensions after the war. -

NASA was formed as a reaction from pressure for defense. after world war II space exploration was expaned and everyone seemed to be interested. The Soviet Union and the United States went into a full out knowledge challenge to fight the rights of space known as the "Space Race." -

Cuba falls to communism in 1959. In 1959 Castro declared himself to be against communism stating, "I don't agree with communism. We are democracy. We are against all kinds of dictators... That is why we oppose communism." -

The U-2 incident occurred during the Cold War on 1 May 1960, when a United States U-2 spy plane was shot down over the airspace of the Soviet Union. -
BAY OF PIGS
This invasion was trying to over power Fidel Castro in Cuba. The plan was to have 2 air strikes from Nicaragua to strike Cuban air bases. It was a surprise attack for Cuba. The bombers missed many targets and left many of Castro's places intact. -
BERLIN WALL
The Berlin Wall was a guarded wakk built betwen East and West Berlin in 1961. The wall stayed up for 28 years. Now a days when people go to Berlin many people are asking where is it, but it was agreed to be knocked down in 1989. -
CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS
The Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest thing the world ever came to a nuclear war. President JFK and leader Premier Nikita Khrushchev were the strong forces to stop this nuclear battle. The Soviet Union only had missiles to launch against Europe but the United States had enought to destroy the entire Soviet Union. -
MAN ON THE MOON
Apollo 11 was the idea to get two men on the moon and return home safely. Apollo 11 blasted off on July 16,1969. Neil Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, and Michael Collins were the astronauts in Apollo 11.
