This war was between North Korea and South Korea. Soviets and China were fighting for North Korea and Americans for South Korea. It ended in June 23, 1953. They had to make an agreement to end the war. -

Soviet Union made AN602 hydrohen bomb. Tsar Bomba is the most powerful nuclear weapon ever. Khrushchev wanted to show the U.S. what could happen to them. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
America were trying to invade Cuba because America were afraid of the spread of communism since Cuba was communist country. Soviet Union had two missiles in Cuba that could go off any minute to American cities. Everyone was scared. Khrushchev requested not to use missiles and remove them if America will not invade Cuba. America agreed and also removed missiles from Turkey. -

Mikhail Gorbachev becomes a leader. He started to think more about economy in his country. Perestroika was a reconstruction of Soviet Union. There was more freedom for people. He started introducing many democratic ideals. -
Taking down the Berlin Wall
WIth many changes of the Soviet Union. The Berlin Wall was taken down. In October 3, 1990 Germany became united again.
