Berlin Airlift
In 1948 the Russians closed all highways, Railroad and channels from western- Germany into western Berlin. They did this hoping this would make it impossible for the people living there to get food or any other supplies they would need and would eventullay drive Everyone out of the city for good. Instead of leaving West Berlin, the U.S. and their allies decided to supply their people from the aiir. This lasted over a year and they carried more than 2.3 million tons of cargo into West Berlin. -
Korean War
The Korean War began on June 25th,1950 when the North Korean communist army crossed the 38 Parallel and invaded South Korea. North Korean army quickly overran South Korean. Then the US stepped in to help South Korean, nobody really ever won and the war still goes on today.
