    G.I. bill was created to help veterans of world war 2.Provided many benefits to veterans. Veterans hospital, provided for vocational rehabilitation,made low -interest mortgage available ,and granted stipends converting tuition and living expenses for veterans attending college or trade schools. Nearly 9 million veterans received close to $4 billion from the G.I. Bill. With the G.I. Bill there are less homeless veterans.
  • Air Conditiong

    many of the central changes in our society after ww2 wound'nt have been possible if a/c was not keeping homes and workplace cool.
    Everyone wanted ac down at the sun belt, (including theater)in Hollywood golden age.where ac its self was an attraction so when it was exploding around 1950's cars, homes, and business had people migrating down south where its hot as hell.
  • The creation of the polio vaccine

    On March 26th 1953 American Medical researcher dr. Jonas Salk announces he has a vaccine against poliomeyelities,the virus that causes the crippling disease of polio FDR headed in 1954 clinical trials using the Salk vaccine begin yearly 2 million American School, a Nationwide inoculation campaign weekend new polio cases dropped two under 6000 in 1957 the first year after the vaccine was widely available

    John H Glenn became the third American in space and the first to orbit the earth when he successfully completed three orbits aboard the Space Capsule friendship 7. Miss of Cold War tensions and admit the very real fear that the Soviet Union was winning the Space Race Blends accomplishment brought a sense of Pride and relief to Americans and made him a national hero.
