"Iron Curtain" is a term used to describe the boundary that separated the Warsaw Pact countries from the NATO countries from about 1945 until the end of the Cold War in 1991. The Iron Curtain was both a physical and an ideological division that represented the way Europe was viewed after World War II. The Berlin Airlift
Soviets placed a blockade on the allied sector of Berlin to starve the population into Soviet alliance. The blockade was a soviet attempt to starve out the allies in Berlin in order to gain supremacy. the blockade was a high point in the cold war, and it led to the berlin airlift. The allied response was a unbelievably massive air supply- flying night and day to feed the city. -

The couple was accused of selling nuclear secrets to the soviet union. This was important because it would help the Soviet Union get nukes faster and it showed that the US was to kill anyone that helped them. -

This was the first Indochina war, It was between the French and Vietnam which the Vietnam has won. This was the start of Vietnam becoming independent and a communist nation. -

Series of hearings held by the United States Senate's Subcommittee on investigations to investigate US Senator Joseph McCarthy. This was important because it showed the people that they will not tolerate communism. -

There was a shooting from the Ohio National Guard of unarmed college students that killed 4 and injured 9. This was important because it horrified the nation and made the support for the war even less. -

The Paris Peace Accords was a peace treaty to agree with ending the war in Vietnam. This is important because the people wanted out of the war and this was a solution. -
Fall of Saigon
The fall of Saigon was the North Vietnamese invaded and capturing Saigon. This is important because it showed that the US did not help in any way in the war.
