    The elected birthrate imparalleled in american history, added more than 50 million babies.

    Many of the central changes in our society after ww2 wouldn't have been possible if AC was not keeping homes & workplace cool. Everyone wanted AC down at the sun belt, in Hollywood golden age. where AC it self was attraction so when it was exploding around 1950s cars,homes and businesses had people migrating down south were its hot as hell.
  • Polio Vaccine By Dr Jonas Salk

    Jonas Salk developed the 1st effective polio vaccine in 1952. His vaccine was tested in francis field trial when it began it involved approximately 4,000 children , but would grow to eventually involved around 1.8 million children across 44 states it was the largest medical experiment at the time. April of 1955 the vaccine was licensed for distribution he patented the vaccine so he wouldnt make any money but instead made it easily accessible and distributed nation wide.

    Mercury-Atlas 6(MA-6) was the third human spacecraft for the U.S and part of Project Mercury. Conducted by NASA on February 20, 1962. The mission was piloted by Astronaut John Glenn, who was the first american to orbit the earth, circling it 3 times. The Mercury spacecraft, named Friendship 7 was carried to orbit by an Atlas LV-3B launch vehicle lifting off from launch complex 14 at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

    NASA made it possible for the american researchers to collaborate on & disseminate scientific advance, an opportunity envied by many of U.S soviet scientist.
  • Apollo 11

    The Apollo 11 mission was arguably the most significant event during the space race between the U.S & Soviet Union. It was significant because Buzz Aldrin & Neil Armstrong were the 1st people to step foot on a whole other world and help secure the win for space race for U.S.
  • G.I Bill

    it gave serviceman chance to go to colleges and trade school or buy houses of business. because servicemen were going to trade school it help advance technology because lots of serviceman used the money to houses to start families making mass production on houses in urban areas
  • 2nd Great Migration

    The migration had deal with the African Americans, over 5 million left from north to the south and southwest. They left to do similarity of the 1st migration but mostly for the jobs that continued to. The states offered skills jobs in the defense industry after the war mass production was needed America had become a highly urbanized population.
