United Nations Formed
The United Nations was formed in 1945 after the events of WW2. The UN's main focus was maintaining Peace and Unity between countries. As well as, working together on global economic, and humanitarian problems. -
Truman Doctrine
President Truman, in 1947, created the Truman Doctrine. The focus of this new policy was the Cold War, specifically meant to prevent the spread of communism through military, political, or economic. -

Ten important Hollywood figures also reffered to as the "Hollywood Ten" were jailed in later 1940s due to their refusal of aiding the investigation of communist influence by the Un-American Activities Committee (Huac) in the film industry. -

NATO Formed
