    The Eastern bloc was a coalition of all of the world's communist countries. It was made in order to protect the communist ideals and further the military success of the communist alliance. It was started near the end of World War 2.

    After the end of World War 2 the allies made a plan to occupy and get Germany back on it's feet after it's loss. Germany was divided into four occupation zones, one going to each of the major allied powers, America, Britain, France, and Russia. These sectors ended up creating a split Germany, one side being democratic and one side being communist.

    In Berlin, the allies held one side, while the communist held the other. Because he took this as a direct threat, Stalin created a blockade in order to try to get the democratic countries to withdraw from Berlin. The Americans responded by using air transport to deliver supplies. The main goal being on the communist side, to eliminate the democratic region of Berlin, and on the democratic side, to hold out against the blockade.

    After facing problems due to imperialism from the Western world, along with the Japanese having tormented them throughout World War 2. The Chinese Communist Party was formed in order to protect China against foreign foe's. The goal being to rebuild and protect China.

    A conflict between North and South Korea, the North side backed by China and the Soviet union. And the South side backed by the United States and the United Nations. This war never had an official ending, only having ended in armistice.

    After years of unrest, a young Fidel Castro led a raid against the Monaca army barracks. This rad fails, 3 years later however Castro and his group of revolutionaries fled the mainland, setting up a base and eventually taking control of Cuba.

    A war between North Vietnam, supported by the Soviets and china, alongside the Viet Cong. Fighting against South Vietnam, which was backed by the United states. This was to this day the most memorable United States Military failure . After it ended, North Vietnam reunified Vietnam into one communist nation.

    The uprising was caused by the unrest within the Soviet-dominated country and the strict policies made by the government. It began with protests and demands for reforms. And ended with militias fighting the state protection authority until the Soviet's sent tanks and troops, killing thousands and stomping the uprising.

    A failed Military landing operation on the south west of Cuba, it involved 1,500 Cuban reformers opposed to Fidel Castro. The reformers were backed by the United States government and had the goal to overthrow the Cuban government. This resulted in a Cuban and Soviet Victory.

    A wall created as many say overnight. The berlin wall was a concrete wall created to divide East and West Berlin. The east side being communist and the west side being capitalist.

    A crisis that began because the Soviet ruler decided to install missile silos in Cuba. The United States saw this, and tensions grew. It forced President John F. Kennedy to impose a blockade on Cuba to prevent any further weapons reaching Cuba. This ended in an agreement for the Soviets to pull the missiles out of Cuba.

    A period of political infighting in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. It began when the government tried to pass reforms granting additional rights to the citizens. But the Soviet union did not agree with these reforms and invaded in order to overturn the decision.

    The Chile government was overthrown in a military coup and led to consequences for the entire region. It began because of political unrest within the country and economic challenges. It resulted in Allende's death and a new government taking control.

    A massacre of Chinese student protesters that followed multiple unsuccessful attempts to end it peacefully. The massacre saw thousands of deaths and furthered the rule of the Communist Chinese government. The event is a very controversial topic of Chinese history.
