Yalta Conference
Meeting between the big three. they disscused the reconstruction of Europe after WWII. Stalin wanted the area of Portugal and the US wanted to liberate them and let them make there own decitions. -

This was a race between the Soviet Union and the US to become a nulear power. One of the main reasons for the Cold War. -

This was a speech gave by US president Henry Truman and it stated that the US would give Greece and Turkey economice aid to not allow them to be part of the communist influence. -

This granted presiden Johnson to send troops to South Vietnam. This was huge because it practically started the Vietnam war. -

They invaded to keep Czecholovakia in communist power. This raged the USA because they did not want communist influece spreading. -

He was the first US leader to visit communist China. this began the thaw in Cold War relations. -

The USA helped chile overthrow there socialst governemt which is one step under communist government. They did this to stop influence of communism. -

The Soviets were against the Mujahideen and the Mujahideen were aided by the US. -

Treaty which eliminated all short range missile between the USSR and the USA. Which pretty much ended the Cold War. -
