Berlin Airlift
Britain and the U.S announced a new proposal. The Deutschmark into west Berlin.This caused chaos the soviet was everywhere trying to adjust to the new system this caused everything to erupt they closed all rails road travel. But however the air travel was still open. This event started the Berlin airlift. Wile the U.S and the British were supplying the people supplies they went over 1.5 million tons. They gave them food, meds and so on to live.This s how the war was fought. -
NATO
NATO stands for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. This sought to create some what of a counterweight. So the soviet armies stationed in the eastern and central Europe. Another part of this treaty was to strengthen the western part of Europe and so they don't become communist. It was signed April 4, 1949 -

The Korean war ended.North Korea remained affiliated with Russia while South Korea stuck with the U.S -

This was formed with member states. East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Albania, Bulgaria, and the soviet union. -

The Berlin wall was finally built. It was to seal east and west Germany. This was all after the Berlin air lift. At the time they didn't have the wall only a blockade. -
Cuban missile crisis
A US spy plane reported sighting the construction of a Soviet nuclear missile base in Cuba. President Kennedy set up a naval blockade and demanded the removal of the missiles. War was averted when the Russians agreed on 28th October to remove the weapons. The United States agreed not to invade Cuba. -

Russia along with their 13 other allies had just had to boycott the summer Olympics. It was held in Los Angeles in retaliation for the US one in 1980. To me this seems like a bunch of little school girls holding grudges. -
