Cold War Begins
This is when the war had begun. What is significant about this day is the Yalta Conference took place. Stalin , Roosevelt , and Churhill also know as "the big three" met at this conference. Here they manged to split Germany into four zones and allowed free elections in Eastern Europe. -
Postdam Conference
During this conference there was open disgreements because Roosevelt had passed away, Germany was deafeted, and Churchill had lost the 1945 election.Truman did not mention anything to Stalin about having the atomic bomb. -
U.S Bombs Hiroshima , Japan
The United States bombs Hiroshima with an Automic bomb. This bomb was known as "Little Boy". This is signifficant because this nearly killed around 80,000 thousand people. As well as this was the first time using nuclear weapons for war in human history. -
U.S Bombs Nagasaki , Japan
The United States bombs Nagasaki with the second atomic bomb known as "Fat Boy". This bomb killed about 70,000 people. This again was the first nuclear weapon used for war in human history. -
End of World War II
The end of World War II . What is also significant about this day is that Japan Surrenders. They were not able to proceed with all the damages they country faced after the two atomic bombs. -
Truman Doctrine
This was a document stating an United States policy to stop the Soviet Union from expanding during the Cold War.This doctrine become the foundation of the president foreign policy and placed the United States as global policemen. -
Rio Pact
This was known as the "hemispheric defense" doctrine. It was an agreemment signed by Rio De Janerio and many other countries of the Americas. It contained in its article that an attack on one would be considered an attack againt all of them. The United States met with 19 Latin American countries and created a security zone. -

Truman's Loyalty Program was created to catch Cold War spies. This was significant because the United States designed to take out the communist influence in the U.S federal goverment. -
Berlin Blockade
This is when Berlin Blackade begins lasting 11 months. The first major international cries of the Cold War . The Soviet Union blocked the Westeran Allies , railway, road , and canal access to the sectors of Berlin which was under allied control. -
NATO Ratified
North Atlantic Treaty Organization is an intergovernmental military alliance. This a mutal agreement and defense in response to an attack on an outside party. -

What is Significant about this event is the Berlin Blaockade finally ends. -

What is significant about this event is that Truman approves the H- Bomb development. -
Apollo 11
What is significant even though the War was going is that Apollo 11 lands on the moon. -
Resignment
President Nixon resigns from presendency. -
Cold War Ends
This is the end of the Soviet Union and finally the cold war begins !
