    The vietminh wanted to unite the country under communist leader Ho Chi Minh. Many of the South vietnamese people, they were unhappy with that by Ngo Dimh Diem. With all of these, Vietnam was divided into two sides.

    The war of Vietnam was a very important conflict or event after the WW2, that took place during the Cold War.
    This war started after the Indochina war, (1946-1954) when in 1954 vietnam was divided into two sides (Northern Vietnam and Southern Vietnam)

    In this event were two sides attacking. From one hand the North Vietnam and it's principal ally, USR, with the politic system of communism. From the other hand the South Vietnam and it's principal ally, USA, with the politic system of capitalism.

    Over 58300 members of the USA armed forces went missing or were killed.

    This war is ended with this important issue: On april 30 of 1975, NVA tanks rolled through the gate of the Presidental Palace in Saigon.

    The end of the Cold War draft in the USA. A lot of events succeded after this war, for example, the intensive indoctrimation of the American people led to a regression of social reforms especially regarding civil rights, labor unions, working conditions or women's concerns.
