North Vietnam wanted to be united into a country again under the leader Ho Chi Minh many people from the South followed him because they were unhappy with the North leader which then a war started between both sides.

    Mao’s second five year plan to industrialize China. He wanted to produce a large amount of grain and steel he believed if he did it would solved China’s Economic problems. It failed and more than 30,000 million starved to death and he blamed everyone and never admitted he did wrong.

    John F. Kennedy gave out the plan to put a man on the moon and return him safely during a speech. Which led them to making the Apollo Program a series of space flights to get American Astronauts on the moon.

    The Soviet Union helped Cuba become communist by giving them nuclear weapons. The USA became worried about having them close because if they launched a missle the U.S would only have about 20 mins to react before it hit the United States. The Cuban missile crises ended on the 28th of October when the Soviet Union agreed to removed the missiles in Cuba if the U.S agreed to remove their missiles from Turkey.

    Mao Zeodong and the Red Guards began a political movement that lasted from 1966 to 1976. A campaign was brought in by Mao to clear out the communists of his opponents. He wanted to cleanse China of revisionists in order to assert his authority over the Chinese Government.
