VE Day was an important day which took place on May 8 because it was Victory for Europe. Germany surrender to the Red Army. Was important because it mark the acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces. -
U.S drops an atomic bomb
On August 9th 1945 The U.S drops an atomic bomb on Hiromshima killing 80,000 people in the process. The is important because The United States becomes the first and only nation to use atomic weaponry during wartime when it drops an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. -
Iron Curtain Speech
On March 5th 1946 a speech was given By Winston Churchill called Iron Curtain during the “Sinews of Peace. The importance of this Speech was it condemned the Soviet Union's policies in Europe and declares, “From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, an iron curtain has descended across the continent.” -

On March 12th 1947 The Truman Doctrine was created by a man named Harry S. Truman. The doctrine was a policy created to establish that the U.S would provide political, military and economic assistance to all democratic nations under threat from external or internal forces. This was important because it was Truman’s was of declaring an active role in Greek Civil War. -

The Korean War had come to end after all the war that was continuing. The importance of this war is 5 million soldiers and civilians lost their lives during the war. It was a hard time and they needed support from whoever was willing to help -
