Billys dad goes to the newly bought house and took one of the palings off and had a look at the stumps which were all rotten.

Billy walks around the lake where the rabbit tracks are. -

Billy went to see the lady who bought the house next door. the lady started asking him about his bag and what he has in it. she also proceeded to start asking Billy questions about his own life. -

In the following weeks after the lady and her husband bought the house Billy sees people driving up the hill to go and assist with fixing the old house. -
