This idea promotes individuals to all partake in an active role in their government according to their own personal interests such as voting for the politician that best suits your own interests.

    The Magna Carta was the first moment in which the principle that a king and government were not above the law was written. Magna Carta was used so that the kings/queens and the government don't exploit the power they were given. This is the earliest example of rule of law in classical liberalism in which all people are equal and have get the same treatment despite class.

    A period in Europe marked as the "revival" of intellectual, political, and artistic change in Europe. This was the moment people started to believe in their human worth and dignity, most closely connecting to the self-interests in society.

This brought in the idea that all individuals despite gender or class/origin have all the same rights and responsibilities as another, establishing rights and freedoms which would be located in our charter.

This began the concept of people being able to make decisions for themselves that would best suit themselves as individualists instead of responding to a higher power.

    As ideas of Renaissance and Reformation came together, European philosophers begin to promote the ideas about human nature. This led to the development of the classical liberalism that we know. People began questioning what are things that will individually meet our needs in society and how power should be distributed throughout the people.

    The time period where the economy shifted from being handicraft to one dominated by industrial and machine manufacturing. This was a period in which competition was high and individuals would compete in a ever growing economic environment. Well people would sell and buy products according to their needs creating new ways of working and living in society.

    The American Revolution was the point in which the thirteen colonies started a war for independence against the Kingdom of Great Britain.This was the moment in which the thirteen colonies sought for their government to be in the hands of the people rather then the crown so that they may make decisions based on the needs of themselves and the people. As well as free the economy into the hands of the people rather then the crown.

This shares similarities to the American Revolution but instead the goal of this was to allow the government to fall into the hands of the people allowing them to make decisions for themselves well setting their own economy.
