Clara moved to Boredentown to fix moe schools like the ones she fixed in Massachusetts. -

Clara regains her position at a patent office. -

South Carolina votes 169-0 seceded from the Union. This event is what kick starts the Civil war. -

The first shots of the civil war are fired at Fort Sumter. The "Angel of the Battlefeild' is about to be figurativly born. -
Water
Clara carried water to the soliders fighting in the war. It doesn't seem as hard as fighting, but running back and forth with heavy jugs of water surley couldn't have been easy. -
Thanksgiving
President Abraham Lincoln proclaims the last thursday of November as Thanksgiving day. That's a really good thing too because I look forward to that big turkey every year. -
Switzerland trip
Clara goes to Switzerland for a break from the Civil war, it must have been very difficult to help during the war. I think she deserved a break. -
Return
Clara comes home from her trip from Switzerland after almost 4 years. While she was over there she helped with battles and aided the Red Cross, that doesn't sound like much of a vacation to me. -
Light bulb
Thomas Edison invents the light bulb, which helped many peoole do things that they couldn't do in the dark. You would have to live under a rock not to know and want your very own light bulb. -
President
Clara is made the president of the Red Cross because she basically founded it. -
DEATH....
Clara died at the age of 91, she was taken back to Oxford for burial.
