Montgomery Bus Boycott
The boycott began when African American Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat for a white woman. She was then put in jail which started the boycott. African Americans did not ride busses for 381 days which was the time of the court hearing. -
SCLC
The purpose was for civil and political rights. Its full name is Southern Christian Leadership Conference and they closely worked with their first president Martin Luther King Jr. -
