Assasination of Abraham Lincoln
Lincoln and his wife went to see a play and the doors were unguarded... John Wilkes Booth came into the balcony and shot Lincoln in the head and then escaped, breaking his leg. 12 days later, Union cavalries found Booth, trapped him in a barn, and was shot. Lincoln officially died the next morning.
