    In 1765 the stamp act was passed that told Americans, that every page printed and sent were taxed. It was mainly enforced by King George III. It was published because the British needed money to pay for troops to say in America because, the 7 years war cost a lot for Britain.

    The intolerable acts were many unfair acts and laws that heavily taxes the colonists. They were said to be punishment for the Boston tea party. The acts included within them were, the Boston port act, the administration of justice act, the Massachusetts government act, the quartering act and the Quebec act which not only closed mayor area of trade but limited many of the colonists freedoms as well.

    The battle of Bunker Hill was the first major battle of the Mercian revolution. Where the British won the battle but it cost allot of lives for the British, which encouraged many revolutionist and boosted American moral.

    In 1776 the 2nd congress decided to make the Declaration of Independence which was drafted by Thomas Jefferson. In it they said that they would become their own country and tell Britain to leave. This also told the British everyone the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It was also one of the last straws for Britain before the American revolution started.

    The treaty of Paris where treaty’s signed in Paris that ended the Revolution. It also declared America independent and gave America more territory than just the 13 colonies.

    The constitutional convention was the meeting of the states to decide on how to run the government. They also eventually make the constitution.

    A couple years after the constitution was written the bill of rights were added to it. The bill of right were the first 10 amendments and were written by James Madison.
