Took place in Kentucky. The first encounter of the war in Kentucky. It was a confederate victory. -
Battle of Ivy Mountain
Took place in Southeast Kentucky. Confederates ran out of ammunition. It was a Union victory. -
Battle of Shiloh Church
Took place on the Tennessee River. The confederates suprise attacked the Union. 13,000 Union killed and 10,000 Confederates wounded/killed. -
Antietam
The bloodiest day in U.S military history. The Union snuck up on the Confederate. By nightfall, 26,000 were dead. -
Fredericksburg
Took place in Virginia. A loss of 12,653 men. Confederate losses are 5,309. -
Gettysburg
This battle lasted three days. Took Place in Pennyslyvania. At the end of the war, there were so many bodies that were dead that they made a truce and got the bodies off the battle field.
