Confederate forces under General Lee was caught by General Mc Clellan near Sharpsburg, Maryland. This was one of the bloodiest battle. 3000 people got killed and 20,000 got wounded. This battle had no winner but caused Lincoln to pronounce the Emancipation Proclamation -

two confederates ships coming from Houston take on the Union fleet of 6 gunboats. one confederate ship was sunk while the other captured a Union ship. later the Confederate general asked for a truce but. The Union fleet commander ignored the offer desteoying one of the grounged ships so it wouldnt be captured by the confederates. -
Battle/Seige of Vicksburg
Major battle in Civil War. Lasted for 6th month. In the lead of general Grant, the Union won. General Lee was in the defensive line in Vicksburg fortress. Lt. Pemberton took the charge but he joined with general Lee. -

lasted 2 days and was the battle that ended the south invasion of the north/union.casulaties were 46,000 and both sides were lead by George G. Mead (union), Robert E. Lee (confederate) -
Battle of Sabine Pass
Union wanted to take control of Galveston. So, they send gunboats and ships. However, Lieutenant Dowling and his forces held them off with a great victory. -
Red River Campaign
Union planned to invade northeast of Texas from Louisiana along the Red river. However, the confederate forces blacked the union and made the turn back. -
Lee's Surrender
union General Grant and Confedreate general Lee forces meet near appotamix court house. Soon later General lee asks General Grant to establish an ending to the war at Appotamix court house fully ending the war. Soon later the South rejoined the union. -
Battle of Palmito Ranch
After a month of Lee's surrender, Union and Confederate clashed in far south of Texas. This battle was also called the last battle of the civl war.
