The battle took place in Charelston Harbor , South Carolina. The people that were involved was the Unions commander Robert Anderson and the Confederate commander was P.G.T Beauregard. Confederate General P.G.T Bearegard dispatched aides to Maj, Anderson to demand the forsts surrender. Abner Doubleday was offered the honor of firing the first shot in defense of the forst. on April 13 Anderson surrendered the forst. the confederates won. -

Sheridan's troops trew back an attack by the confederets, then the confederets got renforcements, the union attaked the confederet works with some success. Grant ordered an assult on the conferets that got him slautered at all pionts. Grant now abonding the approch on richmond went south of the river. -
