Fort Sumter

It was a bloodless battle between two former bestfriends. The fort enventually caught on fire and the General Beaureguard offered help to the men inside. The only fatality from this battle was a mule.

Battle of Bull Run (1st)

The idea was to free all the slaves under his power. That however didn't happen. for most confederate states were much to far away for enforcement from the union army.

Siege of Vickburge

Grant’s armies moved in on Vicksburg, investing the city and entrapping a Confederate army under General John Pemberton. On July 4, Vicksburg surrendered after a long siege. This was the result of one of the smartest militairy stratagies of the war. With the loss of Pemberton’s army and this stronghold on the Mississippi, the Confederacy was effectively split in half.

Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
