This battle helped restore faith in the Union when Ulysses S. Grant beat John C. Pemberton at Vicksburg. The Union won the battle which earned them land of the Missisipi. -

This was the largest battle of the Civil War when Robert E. Lee made several failing attacks against George G. Meads Union army. The Union had a major victory making it a turning point of the Civil War. -
Sherman's March
Shermans March was led by Union General William T. Sherman and as they marched down to the sea and destoyed areas along the way. The Union burned house, farms and land along the way eliminating the Cnfederate army's suppies. -
Appomattox
Appomattox was the last battle of the civil war and it was led by generals Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant. The Union won the final battle which led to the surrender which ended the Civil War
